# Cage-Free Large White Falls to 28.0, Premium at 4.9 Cents

Cage-free large white loose fell to **28.0 cents a dozen** this week, down from 55.0, per USDA. The 27-cent drop compressed the cage-free premium to **4.9 cents a dozen** (21%) over the conventional large white benchmark, which USDA places at **23.1 cents a dozen**. APHIS reports no HPAI egg-layer detections in the past 60 days, leaving the supply picture quiet on the disease side.

Midwest conventional inventory at 568 thousand cases stands 22% above its 5-year median, running the opposite direction.
