The national large white benchmark fell to **21.8 cents a dozen** this week, down 33.6% from 32.9 cents a week ago, per USDA. APHIS has logged no HPAI detections in commercial egg-layer flocks in the past 60 days, and shoulder season demand provides no seasonal support. Declines of 33% or more appeared across the major cage-free and conventional national sizes tracked by USDA.

- **Nest run tier 1, conventional loose**: 15.0 cents a dozen, down 89.5% on the week from 144.0 cents, per USDA.
- **Large white cage-free loose**: 28.0 cents, down 49.1% on the week from 55.0 cents. The cage-free premium narrowed to 6.2 cents a dozen (28% over conventional), per USDA national.
- **Extra large brown cage-free loose**: 45.0 cents, up 28.6% on the week from 35.0 cents, the lone price gainer among this week's top movers, per USDA.
- **Midwest large white, paid to producers FOB**: 32.0 cents, down 11.1% from 36.0 cents a week ago.
- **New York large white, delivered store door**: 65.0 cents, down 11.0% from 73.0 cents a week ago.
- **Northwest conventional inventory**: 46.0 thousand cases, 33% below the 5-year median and 5% below the prior week, per USDA. National shell egg inventory was 1,519 thousand cases as of June 1, 2026, 2.3% above the trailing 4-week average.

APHIS logs no commercial egg-layer HPAI detections in the past 60 days. USDA retail feature data shows 635 stores advertised national large white 12-count at $1.25 the week of June 1, 2026.
